of a hoswick sea
With this collection of handspun yarn I pay homage to the changing moods of the sea in the Hos-wick (wick comes vik, the norse name for bay), through dipping the yarn in natural indigo.
I have chosen some interesting fibres for this collection. You'll find some skeins in lofty Shetland and another related, ancient breed—North Ronaldsay. There's also some squashy merino blended with cashmere, and other yarns spun with blue faced Leicester, silk, mohair, and even some linen.
This yarn is sold under the banner of the artist support pledge, a way to ‘pay forward’ and support artists and makers.
